I cannot tell you how incredibly unlucky I have been this past week ! I fell ill with a stomach flu for a few days and just recently got over it ! On sunday, my car broke down. Apparently, it had been filled up with 12 gallons of water instead of gas at a gas station ! Completely flabergasted by this, I got the car fixed at a local repair shop and immediatly drove back to school for classes. The next day I found out I had more car troubles ! At the moment I am also trying to juggle school with final art projects, exams, and papers and attempting to record videos on my Youtube Channel. Unfortunately, I seem to not be having enough time..despite my amazing luck. Hopefully I can have one up soon. I just have a lot on my plate !
I wanted to quickly share with you my newest favorites from the past two weeks. In the picture above, you can see my little set up I have on a bureau in my room. I decorated it with some of my favorite magazines: Instyle, Glamour, Seventeen (has great ideas for hair tuts!), New Beauty, etc. To the left is my most favorite pair of heels: the classic black leather pump from JustAnnaShoes. Romantic Purple Smokey Eye Look This is a beautiful look that you can easily recreate for those date nights out with your significant other :) I used the Maybelline Stylish Smokes Quad in Amethyst Smokes. Drugstore Haul I went to Target the other day to get a new protein drink for Matt since he had just gotten his wisdom teeth taken out. He could only drink liquids but now is eating some solid foods. I got him chicken noode soup from Panara today and he loved it ! He also somehow managed to take pictures of me this weekend in two different outfits. It was so kind of him to do that since I know he is still healing. Anyways, I wanted to share the other things I got at Target as well.. I had somehow crept over to the makeup section.. :)
I have never tried anything from the Boots No7 line. I read in a People Magazine that Taylor Swift loves using night cream and the magazine showed a picture of one from No7. I ended up getting the night cream to try it out and see how it works. I always use moisturizers morning and night, but his night cream really hydrates my dry skin (which is exactly what I needed!). Its called the Advanced Hydration Night Cream. I also got a day cream from No7 called Protect and Perfect. Now that stuff feels absouletely amazing on my skin. It really preps it well for foundation. I don't notice or feel any dry/flakyness throughout the day like I usually do. Keep reading for more !
Weekly Favorites Hello everyone ! Im so excited to be posting another Weekly Favorites. These are probably my most favorite because I get to share little pieces of what I love whether it be beauty, fashion, or hair products. I have really been obsessing over Lauren Conrad's Collection at Kohls. Currently it is still on sale and Kohls always has great coupons to use with your purchase. I went in store to try these things on first that you will see in this post to get a feel of what my size was. A few days later I realized I wanted more things from her collection that I couldnt find in store ! So I ended up purchasing other pieces online which I will share with you in the Weekly Favorites post next week !
As for the pieces shown above, the shirt is called the Pleated Camisole. Online, it described the color as "Pink Tint." However, the color is more cream in real life (which is what I wanted !). I would love to pair this up with a trendy blazer in any color ! The way it flows is absolutely beautiful for any body type whether you have a bigger/smaller chest or a bigger/smaller waist line.
The shorts are called the Pleated Faux Leather Shorts. These are literally the most amazing shorts I have ever worn. They are incredibly comfortable and I can sense they will be really durable. The material is great because its faux and it actually feel/looks like its incredibly expensive but it's not ! They do run a bit small ( I am a size 4 usually but had to get a 6) I suggest trying some of these things on first in store before purchasing. Keep reading for more of my favorites :)
My Favorite Lipsticks Today I wanted to show all of you my all time favorite lipsticks. I happen to have a mixture of drugstore and high end. Typically, I stick with one brand of lipstick and get a bunch of different shades. When I know I like a brand's lipstick, I never drift to others. As you can tell, MAC and Covergirl Lip Perfection lipsticks are my favorite. And I have tried a lot of lipsticks out there ! I would love to try Chanel, Tom Ford, or even Yves Saint Laurent in the future :) One lipstick at a time.. because those are pretty pricey !
Here are the lipsticks in order from left to right : Covergirl Rapture (bright coral shade), Loreal True Red, MAC Pretty Please (pale pink shade), and MAC Morange (true orange). The Covergirl lipsticks are so creamy and moisturizing. Most of them are very matte in texture and work great with a finish of lipgloss over top. Loreal's True Red is the first lipstick I have ever tried from them. I really love it and plan to purchase more from the collection. Its has such a great constistancy and stays on for hours ! :) And as most of you know, MAC's lipsticks are always worth the $15. Perfect in every way to me. Weekly Favorites So I am posting my Weekly Favorites a bit late this week. I have been a busy bee preparing for the many exams/things due in my all my classes this coming week. Also, for Mimi Boutique's Jolt My Style Segment, I had Matt take three different outfit photoshoots this weekend of me rather than just one so that was a bit stressful as well ! Hopefully I can share the photos with you all by the end of the week :) With all of this going on, I still managed to find time for product favorites that I used a lot throughout the week.
This handbag in the image above is called the Deanna Satchel from Mimi Boutique. I absolutely love the bright orange color of this bag and it is a perfect fit for your fall wardrobe. It works great paired up with some blue skinny jeans, a beige tailored dress, or even a navy blue pencil skirt. The shoes, which many of you will see me talking about on my Youtube Beauty Channel soon, are from Just Anna Shoes. They are called the Audrey Shoes and I have literally been wearing them non-stop. I even walked around DC in them while site-seeing with Matt. They are only 3.5 inches high, have a padded footbed, and are sold WORLD-WIDE ! Taylor Swift I have been told that I am Taylor Swift's doppleganger, so with that, I decided it was time to make a makeup tutorial replicating one of her newest looks. Recently, she has created her own line of perfume called Wonderstruck (which I havent tried yet). There is a commercial of her promoting this perfume in a beautiful grey gown as she walks through an enchanted forest. Her grey smokey eye, blushing pink cheeks, and sultry red lips are so captivating.
