This cute braided hairstyle is especially on trend this spring and summer season !'ve seen a lot of girls sporting it, espeically on TV Shows like America's Next Top Model. It's actually a lot easier to do than you would think ! There are many variaions of hairstyles you can do with this braid. Keep on reading for my super simple and easy to follow steps on how to get your Angel Wing Braided Bangs.
Step 1
Part your hair by seperating the bangs. Secure the remaining hair back into a low bun.
Step 2
Take a small top section of bangs and seperate it into three different strands. Cross the Face strand under the middle, then the Back strand under the middle. (Like a basic Dutch Braid/Inverted French Braid)
Step 3
Take a small veritical section of the bangs with your thumb and add it to the Back strand. Cross the Face strand under the middle, then the Back strand under the middle (repeat this step till the braid is finished by the ear).
Step 4
Now braid regularly with the remaining hair. Pin it behind the ear. You could also let the hair down and pin the end of the braid over the hair.

I did some damage at Target while celebrating my birthday with Matt this weekend :) I found so many cute things in the women's fashion and shoe section. First off I want to start with these bright turquoise jean capris from Mossimo (my favorite brand at Target besides Merona). I also bought them in bright orange which you will see in my next OOTD. They were available in neon green and white as well :) I wanted to pair these with a beautiful lilac scarf. I was so lucky to find this one in Target near the hats/jewelry section. I also got it in black and white ! It's a super light material- perfect for spring/summer if you still want to layer. I love how my outfit popped with these bright colors working together. My flowy white shirt is an old one (very old >_<) from Forever21. The handbag (my new favorite!) is from Target too ! Im telling you- I really did some damage there :P I went with a neutral wedge from Steve Madden to complete the look. I wore this to a lovely dinner and movie date with Matt. We saw 21 Jumpstreet which was so hilarious! We both cried laughing at the bathroom scene if anyone has seen it hehe. Thanks so much for reading ! Not too long ago I went to a new salon for a new look ! I wanted something fresh, something I haven't done before. I decided to cut off about 4 inches. And believe it or not, I wasn't scared at all ! I was so ready for a change. I asked for the stylist to change my original V-cut hair into a straight across cut. Now that I have the straight across cut, it gives me much more volume and bounce ! I kept my side bangs length and she angled my hair from the chin down. I do have a few longer layers as well. I asked the colorist to "warm up" my look. I have no idea what color she ended up using but I love the way it turned out ! Its like a nice warm brown. Here are the rest of the pictures from my little photoshoot :) Enjoy !

Destin, FL was such a beautiful place. It was so breathtaking walking along the beach. Luckily, it was only a short walking distance away from where we stayed. I cannot express how much I love places like these. The warm temperatures and calming waves instantly take away all stress. My sister Brooke was my photographer for the shoot this time around. We decided to use the beach as a background to give the pictures more of a beachy-bohemian feel. Everything couldnt have turned out more perfect.
The black dress from Romwe is one of my favorites because it just oozes high fashion. I don't own anything like it ! The elegant asymmetrical design flows so beautifully, especially in the wind ! I wanted to pair it up with an edgy purse (as always hehe). I found this amazing mustard yellow textured clutch at Forever 21. I know..I was surprised too ! I believe it was less than $20. The jewelry is all from Jewelmint. Their pieces never seem to fail me...Keep reading for more pictures !
Romantic Red I desperately wanted to wear these shorts in an outfit post because of their beautiful red hue. They are from the Lauren Conrad Collection at Kohls. Unfortunately they wrinkle so easily when you sit down, but they are still cute ! I thought these shorts would look perfect with some tights underneath (mine are by Mossimo from Target) and my new BCBGeneration black booties (from Macy's). I decided to pair it up with some of my favorite gold jewelry. The bangle is actually from a Renaissance Festival I went to a few months back. The Empress Necklace and Wonderland Earrings are from Jewelmint- two of my favorite pieces from there. I also curled my hair with a straightener and did a soft brown smokey eye to complete the romantic look.
Today Matt and I are walking around the Arundel Mills Mall in MD. It's such a nice indoor mall with a great variety of stores to shop in. The theatre is enourmous with egyptian inspired sculptures surrounding it. We plan to go to Tillys (Matt loves the basic shirts there) and H&M (I need some sweaters!). Then hopefully we can go see Breaking Dawn. Yes, I am obsessed with Twilight... even though the movies are nothing compared to reading the books :P What are your plans for the weekend? Fall Neutrals For this look, I really wanted to play with black and brown working together. The cropped sweater I am wearing is one of my new favorites ! I got it at H&M-- they have some great sweaters there. I have never in my life worn tights under shorts (I am a little late on the fashion band wagon ;P) so this was a bit new to me ! However, I absolutely loved the way it looked- so chic. The tights are from Target by the brand Mossimo. They are super comfy ! You have seen these shorts before in a Weekly Favorites post. Can you remember I got them from ? :)
After a long week of studying and work, Matt and I went to the zoo and saw Paranormal Activity 3. The movie would have been so great if it wasnt for people laughing during every scene ! From now on, Matt and I plan to watch scary movies alone rather than in theaters. We actually went to the zoo for a lab report I needed to finish from my Anthropology Class. I had to watch the gorrilas for thirty minutes- it was actually not too bad ! One of them kept getting really close to the glass and staring at me !
