Fall Neutrals For this look, I really wanted to play with black and brown working together. The cropped sweater I am wearing is one of my new favorites ! I got it at H&M-- they have some great sweaters there. I have never in my life worn tights under shorts (I am a little late on the fashion band wagon ;P) so this was a bit new to me ! However, I absolutely loved the way it looked- so chic. The tights are from Target by the brand Mossimo. They are super comfy ! You have seen these shorts before in a Weekly Favorites post. After a long week of studying and work, Matt and I went to the zoo and saw Paranormal Activity 3. The movie would have been so great if it wasnt for people laughing during every scene ! From now on, Matt and I plan to watch scary movies alone rather than in theaters. We actually went to the zoo for a lab report I needed to finish from my Anthropology Class. I had to watch the gorrilas for thirty minutes- it was actually not too bad ! One of them kept getting really close to the glass and staring at me ! Rachel Bilson She is one of my favorite celebs to look at for fashion ideas. I also absolutely love her in the new series Hart of Dixie. In one of the very first episodes, she was wearing an outfit very similar to this. If you watch the show, you know the outfit I am talking about ;) I had so much fun putting this look together with more affordable pieces than what she is actually wearing. The stripe black and camel blouse, the cropped pants, and the clutch are all from H&M. I couldnt find a jacket to match hers so I decided to stick with what I had :) I hope you enjoy this celeb recreation ! Mushroom Tee I have been wanting to wear this shirt in an outfit post ever since I saw it online. It's the Prince Tee from Stylemint in the color Mushroom. They have this shirt in other colors, but this one really stood out to me. I knew I wanted to pair it with flared, high waisted dark grey pants. I also paired it up with a few accessories. I didnt want the styling to overwhelm the outfit. I love keeping looks simple :) No belt or earrings this time, just a nice gold necklace from H&M and an oversized snake-print clutch from Mimi Boutique.
I also wanted to share some exciting news with you ! Next weekend Matt and I are going to the National Zoo here in DC. Don't worry, I will take lots of pictures of the cute animals...and me ! :) I also have so many new goodies to share in my next weekly favorites post ! I went on a little shopping spree to relieve stress. That is the best therapy for me :P This last year of school has been the hardest and I can't wait till its all over. Enjoy this outfit post ! Orange and Beige One of my most favorite color pairings for an outfit is beige and orange. I love the way these neutral colors look together. I decided to go simple but still glam. This beautifully structured dress is from In Love With Fashion. It actually came with that super cute pink bow belt as well. This past week I have been studying about JavaScript ( I plan to work in the Web Design field as soon as I graduate college next year). Its very interesting ! On my free time I absolutely love to catch up on all my favorite TV Shows. At the moment, I am watching Hart of Dixie. I love Rachel Bilson's fashion sense! Her outfits are so inspirational. Classy and Edgy Well this past week has been super stressful for me. I had something due in every one of my classes, which doesnt usually happen to me ! I am so relieved it is over. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to post my weekly favorites this week but will certainlty be posting the next one as usual for next week ! I also happen to be wearing a Mimi Boutique clutch for this outfit post today. Its the Chain Link Swirl Clutch that I am so in love with ! I am such a big fan of unique clutches. This outfit really exemplifies my style. I love pairing classy pieces like this jean pencil skirt and silk beige blouse with something edgy like this clutch and it's metal detailing. I'm not so big into layering but instead I love having an outfit with one or two pieces that really stands out and then adding an edgy statement accessory to finish the look. Taking a Stroll Through DC I decided to pick up my boyfriend Matt after work yesterday for a nice stroll through Washington DC. We took lots of pictures of different buildings, important monuments, and of course.. Me ! I wanted to wear an everyday outfit that was still comfortable to walk around in. I do have to add, I was a bit nervous to take photos in front of people, but it turned out great :) Hopefully we can go back and take more ! I picked up this beautiful shiny silver blouse from H&M last week. I knew I wanted to pair it with some blue skinny jeans to really emphasize the top.
Mimi Boutique was kind enough to send me this gorgeous handbag for their Jolt My Style Segment in which I am so honored to be featured in. The Deanna Satchel, with its bright orange hue works so well in conjunction with the blue and silver tones of the rest of my outfit. I love how the straps are longer so that I can just throw it over my shoulder if I need to. I also found it easy to carry around my large Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera inside of it ! Sunshine I'm so happy to say that we have finally been seeing sunshine here in Maryland. I know it is going to rain again but I wanted to lighten up the mood a bit with this outfit :) I decided to wear my new mustard yellow blouse that I purchased from Lulu's. I absolutely love the detail on the sleeves and I think it makes the shirt so unqiue. It actually falls lower in the back than in the front which I like as well for my body frame. I paired it with some regular blue jeans from Charlotte Ruesse, my new Anne Michelle pumps that I posted about in my Weekly Favorites, and my Mimi Boutique Bradley Tan Satchel.
As for my jewelry, I am wearing DSK Jewelry NEW cluster earrings by Steph Nyugen. I think these are so beautiful for fall because they are filled with colors such as yellow, brown, green, red, etc. I will post a picture so you can see how beautiful they are ! Orange and Silk As we start to transition into this beautiful fall season I realize that my summer break is completely over. Today is my last official day and I start school back up again tomarrow. I have yet to look at my class times, so hopefully I won't be running around too much. I always get a bit lost on the first day trying to find the different buildings. Since it is my last day of summer, Matt decided to take this day off and take me out on a nice date. We are going to walk around a nice mall for a while admiring all the window displays. Then we plan to see a movie and head back home.
Since fall is fastly approaching, I wanted to incorporate these alluring orange colored shorts into my outfit. I paired it with a loose silk black top that I got from Tillys. I am loving asymmetrical styles these days. One shoulder flows down in a beautiful drapey display while the other is an elegant thin strap. This clutch is from Handbag Heaven. I was getting creative today and ended up taking off it's gold chain and wrapped it around my wrist like a bracelet. My adorable earrings and necklace that match surprisingly perfectly in color cordination are from a site that makes beautiful handmade jewelry called Sheyna. I hope you enjoy these pictures.
