I Love Statement Tanks !

Hey Everyone ! Matt took me out for dinner at a nice restaurant yesterday. I thought I would wear my new statement tank and leather pants from Lockerz.com Both fit perfect (and I got them in my usual sizes). I've been on that site so much in the past few weeks. Not only can you shop a great range of fashionable clothes, you can also create your own collections of pictures that inspire you from all over the web. I love looking at everyone else's collections and "grabbing" their pictures to put in mine ! For this outfit, I wanted to bring in some color with a light pink H&M blazer. To play off the silver sequins in the top, I chose this adorable silver chain cream clutch from mimiboutique.com As for my shoes, they are my new favorite ! I cant even begin to tell you how comfortable they are. I can actually walk in these ! :P They are from JustFab. Hope you like ! Thanks for reading :) Wish me luck going into finals week !

Feeling Girly

I was feeling super girly last weekend when putting my outfit together for a lunch date with Matt. I wanted to wear my new VS white corset lace dress so badly ! It fits me like a glove and I love the way it flares out (flattering any body type :P). To bring in some color to the look, I wore my most favorite shoes that I own. These are the turquoise Chloe's from Shoemint. Im so incredibly bummed that I didnt get them in black when I had the chance- hopefully they will come back in stock. They are so elegant and classy. I also wore my cute pink quilted handbag from Asos and all my jewelry is from Stella & Dot. How cute is that turquoise bracelet ? :) Thanks for reading !

Angel Wing Braided Bangs

This cute braided hairstyle is especially on trend this spring and summer season !'ve seen a lot of girls sporting it, espeically on TV Shows like America's Next Top Model. It's actually a lot easier to do than you would think ! There are many variaions of hairstyles you can do with this braid. Keep on reading for my super simple and easy to follow steps on how to get your Angel Wing Braided Bangs.

Step 1

Part your hair by seperating the bangs. Secure the remaining hair back into a low bun.

Step 2

Take a small top section of bangs and seperate it into three different strands. Cross the Face strand under the middle, then the Back strand under the middle. (Like a basic Dutch Braid/Inverted French Braid)

Step 3

Take a small veritical section of the bangs with your thumb and add it to the Back strand. Cross the Face strand under the middle, then the Back strand under the middle (repeat this step till the braid is finished by the ear).

Step 4

Now braid regularly with the remaining hair. Pin it behind the ear. You could also let the hair down and pin the end of the braid over the hair.

Pastel Orange Capris & Electric Blue Heels

Once again I wanted to showcase some new things I recently purchased at Target. I got an incredible deal on these electric blue heels- they were discounted from $29.99 to only $14.98 !! Now that is a crazy good deal. The capris are also from Target and I got them for around $29.99. I love the pastel orange color- I don't have any jeans like it ! I paired it with a white tank to keep the look from being too colorful. My handbag is from colourme.com and my gold jewelry is from Stella & Dot, Forever21, and Jewelmint. Turquoise and Lilac

I did some damage at Target while celebrating my birthday with Matt this weekend :) I found so many cute things in the women's fashion and shoe section. First off I want to start with these bright turquoise jean capris from Mossimo (my favorite brand at Target besides Merona). I also bought them in bright orange which you will see in my next OOTD. They were available in neon green and white as well :) I wanted to pair these with a beautiful lilac scarf. I was so lucky to find this one in Target near the hats/jewelry section. I also got it in black and white ! It's a super light material- perfect for spring/summer if you still want to layer. I love how my outfit popped with these bright colors working together. My flowy white shirt is an old one (very old >_<) from Forever21. The handbag (my new favorite!) is from Target too ! Im telling you- I really did some damage there :P I went with a neutral wedge from Steve Madden to complete the look. I wore this to a lovely dinner and movie date with Matt. We saw 21 Jumpstreet which was so hilarious! We both cried laughing at the bathroom scene if anyone has seen it hehe. Thanks so much for reading ! Casual Chic & Colorful Edgy in DC

Matt and I went to DC last weekend to visit the Sackler Gallery Museum. I had a an art project

I needed to do for Hokusai's Exhibition (which was absolutely beautiful!). Along the way we

found a little water fountain overlooking the city streets. We snapped a few shots of my outfit

there :) Matt and I spent an hour or so recording a fashion video in DC after the museum visit.

Unfortunatly, the footage turned out too shaky to use (I was getting nauseous just editing it

lol!). But I am so proud of him for doing it and I love that he supports what I am doing with my

youtube channel. Next weekend, I have even better outfits to showcase in a new fashion

video. Now that he has the hang of filming, I think the footage will turn out much better ;)

Anyways, here are some pictures from our weekend !

This was supposed to be the second outfit in the fashion video. More fun, edgy, and colorful :)

The Sackler Gallery is all the way to the left of me in the picture. The Freerer Gallery would be

to the right. But I love the beautiful flower garden in between the two buildings- it was

breathtaking !

My New Hair

Not too long ago I went to a new salon for a new look ! I wanted something fresh, something I haven't done before. I decided to cut off about 4 inches. And believe it or not, I wasn't scared at all ! I was so ready for a change. I asked for the stylist to change my original V-cut hair into a straight across cut. Now that I have the straight across cut, it gives me much more volume and bounce ! I kept my side bangs length and she angled my hair from the chin down. I do have a few longer layers as well. I asked the colorist to "warm up" my look. I have no idea what color she ended up using but I love the way it turned out ! Its like a nice warm brown. Here are the rest of the pictures from my little photoshoot :) Enjoy !
