Signature Brown Smokey Eye As most of you can already tell, I am obsessed with brown smokey eyes. In almost every outfit post as well as my videos on my Youtube Beauty Channel feature me with this look. Today I wanted to show you how you too can achieve this look ! I wear it everday and I think it's a perfect look that can transition from day to night depending on your personality. Keep on reading to see what products I use and how to do it ! If you want to see the makeup tutorial video, just Click Here.

Step 1. You want to prime your lids first before applying any eyeshadow. I also find that your eyeshadows last longer if you refrain from getting any foundation on your lids before doing the look. My three favorites primers that I always switch off between are the Elf primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion, and Too Faced Shadow Insurance. All work virtually the same for me in lasting powder and in making the eyeshadows more vibrant. Apply this from the lashline up to the brow.

Step 2. You want to first create a base before applying the main eyeshadow color. It helps the shadow last longer and become more vibrant. I used Temptalia from the Kat Von D Ludwig Palette which you can get at Sephora. Directly over top of that tan color, use Baroque, which is a soft golden brown. Make sure to blend the edges after application and before moving on to the next step.

Step3. This step is very crucial in making the look appear to be smokey. Take a dark brown eyeshadow, like Leather from the palette. Using a densily packed blending brush, focus on blending the color in the outer corners and a bit into the crease. Make sure there is a smooth transition betwen the dark brown and the gold. We don't want any harsh lines ! If you prefer, you can apply a highlight color to the browbone, which I always love to do. Use the color Clay, which is the lightest in the palette.

Step 4. After applying all the eyeshadows, I use my favorite eyeliner which is Maybelline Line Stilleto in Black or in Blackish Brown depending on my mood. Then I use a mascara just on the top lashes. I normally don't apply anything to my bottom lashline because my eyes tend to look smaller that way. To keep them looking wide and open, I just work with the top lid. As for mascara, my favorites are Maybelline Falsies Mascara and Covergirls Natureluxe Mascara. I focus a few coats on the outer corners of my lashes to make my eyes look more almond shaped.
That is the complete look. Good luck to everyone I hope I made it simple enough for you to do yourselves. Post a comment below and let me know if you have tried this look and how you like it ! Thanks for reading.
